Tarlac, Surigao del Norte residents receive aid

The office of Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go continues to provide assistance to those who are in need and recently conducted relief operations to disadvantaged communities in San Jose and Tarlac City and various towns in the province of Surigao del Norte.

Go’s team handed out snacks, masks and shirts to the residents, and gave away shoes, bicycles, cellular phones, balls for basketball and volleyball to 683 residents in San Jose and Tarlac City
Representatives from Department of Social Welfare and Development also provided each resident with financial assistance.

Over at Surigao del Norte, the senator’s team provided the same to vulnerable residents from Dapa, Del Carmen, San Benito, General Luna, Santa Monica, Burgos, Placer and Alegria towns.

Meanwhile, as part of his efforts to ensure that more Filipinos get convenient access to quality healthcare, Go offered assistance to those in need of medical attention and advised them to visit Caraga Regional Hospital in Surigao City and Siargao Island Medical Center in Dapa where there are Malasakit Centers that may help with their hospital expenses.

Designed for particularly poor and indigent patients, the Malasakit Center is a one-stop shop where Filipinos can conveniently access medical assistance programs offered by the Department of Social Welfare and Development, Department of Health, Philippine Health Insurance Corporation, and Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office. There are now 152 Malasakit Centers nationwide.
