AirAsia boosts flights amid demand upswing

AirAsia Philippines will increase and launch new foreign flights to meet demand as more Filipinos travel overseas to places like Seoul, Osaka, Bangkok, Taipei and Singapore, particularly during the “ber”months.

According to AirAsia Ph, increased bookings for travelers from Q4 2022 to Q2 2023 is a strong indication that the demand for travel has returned and the airline is more than ready to sustain the appetite of Filipino travelers by boosting its flight frequency and open more international destinations

Relaxed travel protocols in various countries have also contributed to more overseas workers taking the opportunity to fly home to the Philippines to spend the holidays with their loved ones in the provinces.

AirAsia is increasing its weekly flight frequency to Caticlan (35x), Tagbilaran (21x), Puerto Princesa (28x), Cebu (42x), Bacolod (21x), Cagayan (22x), Davao (24x), Iloilo (28x), Kalibo (21x), Tacloban (35x), Zamboanga (7x) and Roxas (3x).

More flights from Cebu

In contrast, there will be an increase in the number of weekly flights from the Cebu hub to Cagayan (4x), Davao (4x) and Caticlan (7x). Flights from Clark to Cagayan will continue to operate four times weekly.
