A condom can be more than a shield against unwanted pregnancy.
Caribbean fashion designers Rushemy Botter and Lisi Herrebrugh spiced up last month’s Paris Fashion Week by highlighting their tropical-inspired brand with provocative water-filled condoms.
Botter label models wore the props as gloves in the designers’ “Aquatic Wear” collection during the show, Agence France-Presse reported.
The couple was trying alternatives to plastics that they recycle into accessories to bring out their brand’s Caribbean vibes. They already designed t-shirts made from algae.
American TV news reporter Kyla Galer of NBC has her own version of a non-fashion accessory rubber. She showed it while reporting live the destruction caused by Hurricane Ian around Fort Myers in Florida state last week.
The video showing Galer delicately rolling out a latex over her microphone before going on air went viral on social media.
She wasn’t exactly practicing safe reporting. Galer explained to viewers that she had to cover her mike with the rubber to prevent it from getting wet during the rainy outdoor broadcast.
