President Bongbong Marcos is concerned over the safety of detained former Sen. Leila de Lima, who was briefly held hostage on 9 October right in her custodial cell at Camp Crame by assailants police said were De Lima’s co-detainees attempting to escape.
In a tweet, Marcos said he will talk to De Lima to check on her condition.
The Chief Executive added he will ask De Lima if she wishes to be transferred to another detention facility.
Following this morning’s incident at Camp Crame, I will be speaking to Senator De Lima to check on her condition and to ask if she wishes to be transferred to another detention center.
