The iconic Tour de Cebu, held from 29 September to 3 October, recently concluded its run after yet again a successful 1,000-kilometer feat. Backing the country’s lone historic car rally is Petron with its Blaze 100 Euro 6 product as the convoy of classic cars traversed the beautiful roads, as well as many scenic spots in the Visayas islands.
Open to vintage sports cars manufactured in 1972 and older, the Tour de Cebu has captured the imagination of many classic car enthusiasts and fans, and is simultaneously a touristic rally and rolling museum featuring classic or period-correct cars with high historical value, prestige and provenance.
Some of the entries participating in Tour de Cebu 2022 include the following high-value cars: 1960 Porsche 356B Cabriolet; 1961 Jaguar XKE; 1963 Corvette; 1965 Porsche 912; 1966 Shelby Mustang; 1966 Toyota Sports 800; 1968 Mercedes Benz 280 SL; 1968 Porsche Targa; 1969 Alfa Romeo 1750 GTV; 1969 BMW 2002; 1970 Lancia Fulvia Zagato; 1971 Lotus Europa; 1972 Datsun 240Z; 1972 Porsche 914; 1868 Alfa Romeo Giulia; Kougar Jaguar; Michel Speedster and Michel Spyder.
With some 40 classic cars participating in the rally from Cebu to Bohol and back in the three-day 1,000-kilometer motoring event, the organizers — Performance and Classics Enthusiasts of Cebu with support from the Manila Sports Car Club have once again chosen Petron to be its official fuel provider.
