Bong Go personally aids indigents in San Juan City

Sen. Bong Go personally provided aid to vulnerable residents in San Juan City on Monday, 10 October.

In his remarks during the activity held at the city gymnasium, the senator commended the Department of Social Welfare and Development which continues to extend livelihood assistance to qualified beneficiaries under its Sustainable Livelihood Program.

In San Juan, the DSWD provided livelihood grants that would significantly create more sustainable economic opportunities for the 300 beneficiaries who have lost their livelihoods due to the pandemic.

Gamitin n’yo po sa tama,” said Go.

Go likewise urged the residents to use the grants to start their own business and support their families during these challenging times, saying, “Ang matanggap ninyo ngayong araw na ito mula sa livelihood program ng DSWD (ay) palaguin ninyo.

During his visit, Go and his team provided grocery packs, meals, vitamins, masks, and shirts to the aspiring business owners while some of them received watches and phablets.
