Korean YouTube personality DK Yoo showed up a few days ago for training at the Wild Card Boxing Club in Hollywood.
Eight weeks before fighting Manny Pacquiao in a special exhibition in Seoul, Yoo was spotted at Freddie Roach’s famed sweat shop on Vine Street by Filipino boxer Marlon Tapales, who regularly trains there.
Before going to the United States, Yoo met with Pacquiao during a press conference in the Korean capital.
Yoo’s visit to the Wild Card was purely promotional.
The gym was home to Pacquiao from 2001 until 2021 when he and Roach became boxing’s hottest pair.
Since the Yoo encounter is not a regular boxing match, Pacquiao doesn’t have the need to set up camp in Hollywood and instead will work out in Manila and General Santos City.
Pacquiao has vowed to make short work of Yoo, who claims to be an expert in a variety of mix-martial arts disciplines.
