MICT launches cargo visibility app

Enrique Razon-led International Container Terminals Services Inc. unit Manila International Container Terminal is introducing a more convenient and seamless way to monitor and manage cargo shipments at the ports through a one-stop mobile application.

The company announced on Monday that its mobile application for cargo visibility is now available for download in the county via Google Play and Apple Store.

The ICTSI app lets users monitor and manage their cargo shipments at the MICT, NorthPort, Subic Bay International Terminal, and Mindanao Container Terminal.

The app gives users access to real-time shipping information directly from the terminal of their concern.

Users are required to create an account to get full access to the app’s features.

“By providing 24/7 real-time visibility, we are empowering port users to plan their logistics better and make sounder business decisions leading to lower costs,” ICTSI Group chief information officer Brian Hibbert said.

“We are opening the door for businesses to become more efficient the same way that we are constantly improving our efficiency to better serve our customers,” he added

Functions as watchlist

Using the app, customers can put vessels, containers, and trucks on a watchlist and subscribe to status notifications via email or SMS for timely updates.

According to ICTSI, streamlining shipments eliminates conflicting and late information that could lead to less optimal logistics planning and increased cost.
