BI arrests 2 U.S. fugitives

The Bureau of Immigration announced on Tuesday the arrest of two Americans wanted by United States federal authorities for serious crimes.

BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco identified the two reported fugitives as Teresita Kindle, 57-year-old, and Virgilio Carigma Cruz, 67.

Kindle was arrested on 27 September in Little Baguio, San Juan City; and Cruz was nabbed on 6 October by BI Fugitive Search Unit operatives.

Tansingco said US authorities in Manila sought the BI’s help in locating and arresting Kindle and Cruz.

The BI chief added that they will be deported and placed on the BI blacklist of undesirable aliens, meaning they are perpetually banned from re-entering the country once deported.

BI-FSU acting chief Rendell Ryan Sy said Kindle is wanted in the US for wire fraud and money laundering, while Cruz is wanted back home on drug charges.
