JOLO, Sulu — Anti-narcotics operatives arrested two drug peddlers and confiscated from their possession 1,000 grams of alleged shabu during a buy-bust operation conducted in this capital town of Sulu.
Jolo Municipal Police Station acting director P/Lt. Col. Annidul Sali said that combined anti-narcotics policemen conducted anti-illegal drugs operation at Sitio Kakuyagan in Barangay San Raymundo on Monday.
Sali said the operation has led to the arrest of Alfagar Asgali alias Ben and Madjid Arandani Sala alias Dams.
Also recovered were two large packs of illegal substances suspected to be shabu weighing about 1,000 grams worth P6.8 million in market value.
Authorities also seized the P1,000 mark money they placed on top of a bundle of boodle money they used in the buy-bust operation.
According to Sali, the team immediately conducted an inventory marking in the area in the presence of Asgali and Sala and witnessed by the elected official of Barangay San Raymundo.
After documentation, Asgali and Sala and the seized illegal substance and other pieces of evidence were brought to the office of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Sulu for investigation.
