Indigents from Bohol given a boost by Bong Go

A two-day relief effort was mounted by the team of Sen. Bong” Go for almost a thousand indigent residents from Anda, Bilar, Dimiao, Sevilla and Lila, Bohol to help them cope with the adverse impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Importante po dito ang buhay ng bawat isa,” underscored Go in his video message during the distribution activities from 17 to 18 October.

Head of the Senate Committee on Health and Demography, Go also renewed his appeal to intensify the pandemic efforts and continuously roll out vaccines to more far-flung communities to ensure that more Filipinos are inoculated and protected against COVID-19.

He then encouraged those eligible yet unvaccinated Boholanos to get their jabs, underscoring how it would significantly help the country recover and return to normalcy faster.

Held at the Quinale Beach Bar in Anda, and municipal gymnasiums of Dimiao, Sevilla and Lila, Go’s staff distributed masks and snacks to a total of 1,170 Boholanos. They also provided shoes, cellphones and bicycles to select individuals. The Department of Social Welfare and Development, meanwhile, provided financial assistance.
