NOW provides connectivity to UnionBank Campus

Publicly listed firm NOW Corp. announced Wednesday that its fixed wireless broadband solutions, called Now Fiber Air, has started connecting to UnionBank’s recently inaugurated UB Innovation Campus in Laguna.

The company said the partnership cemented its commitment to help banks transition to digitization. UnionBank finished building its UBIC in September 202 within a one-hectare compound in San Pedro, Laguna.

Traditional wired internet service providers usually take several weeks or months, and NOW Fiber Air was installed within just a week in the UBIC.

Guaranteed internet connectivity

Apart from this, Now Corp. provides guaranteed internet connectivity to UnionBank’s head office in Ortigas Center, Pasig City.

UnionBank is one of Now Fiber Air’s biggest clients; the bank’s headquarters rely on a 1.2Gbps dedicated internet connectivity provided as backup.

The UnionBank Plaza is among 450 buildings and enterprises across Metro Manila, Laguna, Cavite, and Batangas that are currently enjoying uninterrupted and reliable enterprise connectivity service provided by NOW Fiber Air.

The internet provider uses point-to-point or point-to-multipoint fixed wireless technology that ensures connection security at all times. It guarantees internet connectivity as it could connect an entire building or compound in as fast as five days.

The service is spared from fiber optic cable cuts, a problem commonly encountered by fixed wired internet services that pass through copper cables or fiber ducts mounted underground or through electrical posts.
