Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto led the inauguration of the newly constructed health center in Barangay Caniogan on Friday.
The Caniogan Health Center is off to its new home in Kalinangan Street, Barangay Caniogan, after years of occupying the space provided by the Barangay Government of Caniogan in their building.
With the transfer of the Caniogan Health Center, the provision of primary healthcare services in said barangay is expected to further improve, as the facility becomes more at par with the standards of the Department of Health, compared to when it was still situated in the barangay building.
“It feels good that you have a project just like this that was solidly built from drafting the program of work down to the construction,” Sotto said.
Sotto vowed to construct more super health centers in other barangays, especially those that are far from the hospital.
The inauguration of Caniogan Health Center is still part of the celebration of the 450th Araw ng Pasig: Panahon ng Pasigueño and contributes to the thrust of the city government of providing accessible and affordable health services for Pasigueños.
