Religious group holds ‘Matiisin’ convention

Religious group Jehovah’s Witnesses held a convention, which aims to inculcate the “spirit of patience” among its members and even non-members in their daily lives.

The three-day regional convention, with the theme “Maging Matiisin,” was held at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City from 28 to 30 July 2023.

“How can we apply patience in all aspects of our lives? Being patient is very important for us to be happy,” Allan Tungia, committee coordinator of the said convention, said in an interview.

Being patient, he said, is such a good quality of a person that will help him to become happy and cope with the challenges in life.

“We are also inviting even the non-members of the Jehovah’s Witnesses to join with us in this event so they can see from the bible principles that being patient is very important even if we have so many problems,” Tungia added.

The delegates will come from the towns of Angono, Binangonan, Cardona, Taytay, and Cainta in Rizal province and some parts of Antipolo City and Pasig City.

Around 8,000 members have attended the said event.
