MERRYMAKING AT TWO-PLUS-ONE BIRTHDAYS

We truly value and genuinely cherish our personal relationships. Milestones, like birthdays, serve as a chance to express love and gratitude to those who have been a significant part of one’s life.

True to their distinct personalities, three dear friends– Sonia Yuvallos, Perla Agudo and Albert Garbanzos –uniquely celebrated their special days.

The island’s foremost architect Albert, together with ever on-the-go and living-life-to-the-fullest Sonia hosted a joint gathering at the City Sports Club. Sonia caught everyone’s eye, ravishing in a striking red loose hostess pantsuit, while Albert was casually debonair in a deep red polo shirt.

As requested by the duo, invitees donned their favorite denim clothes.

Dinner soon followed, complemented by an evening of wines from Cellar’s Choice.

True to form, lots of songs and more songs reigned in the night. Just about everyone took to the stage and dished out old-time favorites with other guests singing along.

Providing entertainment were talented homegrown singers, including Sonia’s daughter bubbly Andrei, restaurateur Winglip Chang, golfer Nonoy Tirol, landscaper Jaime Chua, educator Zandro Sy Guillo and pathologist Randolph Libres.

A fortnight later, the ladylike, demure and soft-spoken Perla Agudo gathered her friends to an intimate afternoon merienda at the Grand Hotel.

A handful of ladies from her days, the sought-after bachelor femina, of which she was a pillar, dropped by to wish her the happiest of birthdays. Friends included newshen Chinggay Utzurrum, Cherique Garcia with daughter Berdyne, former stewardess Maria Elena Sy Chua and jewelry designer Josenne Arra Angbetic.
