Logistics company eyes warehouse expansion in Laguna

AyalaLand Logistics Holdings Corp. opened its doors to Newbie Station Logistic Inc. to establish ALogis Calamba site in Laguna.

This latest development builds upon Newbie’s initial lease for their first warehouse facility in the Philippines signed two years ago.

In 2021, Newbie Logistic inked a deal with ALLHC for their first business site in the Philippines. The logistics company leased 13,000 sqm of warehouse leasable area at the ALogis Biñan 4 site of ready-built facilities at Laguna Technopark, a premier industrial estate developed by ALLHC.

Now, ALLHC and Newbie Logistic have forged a new deal with the latter set to become an anchor lessee at ALogis Calamba in Laguna. It will occupy 33,400 sqm of gross leasable space. They will also expand their presence in Biñan, Laguna, by leasing an additional 11,600 sqm at the facility.

“ALLHC shares our unwavering commitment to excellence, efficiency and growth. Their dedication to providing state-of-the-art infrastructure, strategically located facilities, and a team that is passionately invested in our success made them the perfect choice for us. ALLHC provides us with the robust foundation we need to expand our footprint and continue to redefine international cross-border fulfillment,” Newbie Logistic marketing director Jingwu Yan said.

ALLHC chief operating officer Patrick C. Avila, meanwhile, said, “Their expansion not only strengthens their presence, but also creates additional job opportunities for local residents — a goal we proudly share with our locators across all our developments. As we welcome Newbie Logistic in our ALogis Calamba facility, we wish them continued success.”

ALLHC oversees a portfolio of nine properties across five key locations in Luzon, including Biñan, Naic, Calamba, Porac and Santo Tomas, with expansion ongoing at ALogis Naic 2, situated within Cavite Technopark, for 11,000 sqm more of leasable warehouse space.

In addition to its physical expansions, ALLHC has made a significant move in 2023 by venturing into the build-to-suit facilities space. This initiative is aimed at offering businesses bespoke facilities, uniquely designed to meet their specific requirements.
