6 warehouse, delivery men nabbed for theft

Six delivery and warehouse men were put behind bars for the theft of construction materials worth P65,800 in Quezon City over the weekend.

Quezon City Police District Station 2 commander P/Lt.Col. Resty Damaso of Masambong Police Station (PS 2) identified the suspects as Wilfredo Datalio, 42, resident of Sta. Maria, Bulacan; Dexter Bation, 29, resident of Heroes Del 96, Caloocan City; Zaldy Pajanusta, 36, resident of Brgy. Bungad, Quezon City; Rommel Camprecio, 32, resident of Brgy. 176, Caloocan City; Jason Carabaña, 45, resident of Brgy. 51, Tondo, Manila; and Jerome Obal, 22, resident of Brgy. 28, Caloocan City.

Damaso said the six suspects were warehousemen, delivery drivers, and delivery helpers of Optimum Prime Industrial Sales.

The report showed that the suspects on 20 October 2023 at 9:00 a.m. collaborated to steal 13 boxes of assorted construction materials valued at P65,800 from the warehouse and conceal them inside a delivery truck.

However, their actions were witnessed by the checker and the lady guard on duty, who promptly retrieved the stolen items from the truck and sought assistance from PS 2.

Subsequently, PS 2 swiftly responded to the scene and arrested the suspects.

The suspects will be charged with qualified theft and will be referred to the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office.

“Sa lahat ng mga gumagawa ng krimen sa Quezon City, nais kong ipaabot sa inyo na hindi kayo makakaligtas sa batas.Titiyakin namin na panagutan niyo ang mga krimen na iyong ginawa,” QCPD Director P/Brig.Gen. Redrico Maranan warned.
