Warehouse, delivery staff nabbed for theft

Six individuals were arrested by authorities for allegedly stealing construction materials worth P65,800 in Quezon City over the weekend.

Quezon City Police District Station 2 commander P/Lt. Col. Resty Damaso of the Masambong Police Station 2, identified the suspects as Wilfredo Datalio, Dexter Bation, Zaldy Pajanusta, Rommel Camprecio, Jason Carabaña and Jerome Obal.

Damaso said the six suspects were warehouse men, delivery drivers and delivery helpers of Optimum Prime Industrial Sales.

Report showed that on 20 October, the suspects allegedly collaborated to steal 13 boxes of assorted construction materials valued at P65,800 from the warehouse and conceal them inside a delivery truck.

However, their actions were witnessed by the checker and the lady guard on duty, who promptly retrieved the stolen items from the truck and sought assistance from PS 2.

Personnel from the PS 2 swiftly responded to the scene and arrested the suspects.

The suspects will be charged with Qualified Theft and will be referred to the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office.
