Kidnapped man found dead

SARIAYA, Quezon — The man who was abducted in Taal, Batangas Wednesday night was found dead along the Eco-Tourism Road in Barangay Bignay 2 here on Thursday morning.

According to Sariaya Police chief Lt. Col. William Angway, the remains of the victim identified as Eugene Beltran del Rosario — a resident of Lemery, Batangas — was found by a passing resident lying on the road shoulder at around 6 a.m.

The local police chief added that the victim bore two gunshot wounds in the head and two in the body, one in the arm and a stab wound in the body, adding that the victim’s entire head and hands were wrapped and tied by packaging tape.

Scene of the Crime Operatives from Quezon Provincial Forensic Unit processed the body and the crime scene assistance from Quezon Provincial Forensic Unit as requested by Angway.

The victim was abducted by ten unidentified armed men aboard two vehicles in a gasoline station along Bypass Road in Taal, Batangas, on Wednesday night and CCTV footages circulating on social media showed that the victim allegedly screamed for help while being dragged into a car by six of the suspects, but no one reacted.
