OtaCute Japanight ends fiercely

OtaCute JulyFes has come and gone, but the mark it has left on the attendees may be indelible. After all, it’s the first time that an Anikura or an anime club has been hosted and featured in the two-day event.

The sale booths benefited from the good participants’ count right on opening day in the new venue that sported an area that had an open microphone for those who wanted to sing.

The atmosphere was easygoing and the vibes were right on, exciting and fun, with plenty of interactions among participants.

Getting a lot of people excited was the Chiki Chiki Bang Bang dance from the recent anime offering Paripi Koumei, also known as Ya Boy Kongming.

Like the proverbial calm before the storm, the Japanight AniKura awaited those who purchased online or on-site.

With a powerhouse cast of disc jockeys such as Heneral Timmeh, Bori, Zeroblade and the returning Nicdroid behind the booth, the party was brought to full swing as people enjoyed a four-hour extension compared too past OtaCute events.

Day 2 had a slew of special events that were showcased in the new venue known as the Wall Street

They featured a real-life Tekken performance by karate gold medalists Tsukii Junna and James De Los Santos, Naruto Dance by pro dance team LolBabes and LolBoys, and the main attraction, the Cosplay Runway featuring Myrtle Sarrosa.

Other performances included a Kimono Fashion Show, a Wotagei performance from Team HIBANA and a Comedy Show featuring Yuki Horikoshi and Israel Buenaobra of Comedy Manila.
