Amarela Resort

A three-time recipient of the ASEAN Green Hotel Award, the resort is diligent in its solid waste segregation, waste composting, and water recycling through the collection of rainwater. The structure is built on a slope that leads to the beach and has access to views of the Bohol Sea and the nearby islands. Iris Island Eco Resort

Iris Island Eco Resort has a clifftop restaurant, which serves meals cooked through solar ovens and cookers installed on the roof of the restaurant kitchen. The villas have solar panels, batteries, charge controllers, and battery monitors that get their source from solar energy. They also plan to install a solar water pump station to completely avoid the utilization of a generator. Composting toilets are existing in the resort as well. El Nido Resorts – Miniloc Island

El Nido Resorts operate a sewage treatment plant along with native reed bed filters. This system guarantees that no sewage water is released into the sea. Strict segregation for solid waste is implemented through their full cycle materials recovery facility. The organic waste is composted, which will then be used in their gardens and organic farms. They have a rainwater catchment system and a desalination plant as well. The rainwater gets filtered and stored for use in the guest rooms and staff quarters. The desalination plant converts salt water into fresh water for the people to expend without competing for the water supply on the mainland.
