The dynamic duo of OhMyV33nus and Wise made their presence felt in their MPL comeback as they helped Blacklist International win its first match of the season against Nexplay EVOS on Day 1 of the tournament this Friday evening.
After scoring one game each, Blacklist drafted Beatrix, Natalia, Benedetta, Diggie, and Kagura while the fan-favorite NXPE went with Saber, Brody, Paquito, Julian, and Balmond.
The two-time MPL champions were aggressive every step of the way and never allowed NXPE to find its groove. Blacklist destroyed all turrets in a matter of minutes and made a successful GG push at the 11:54 mark thanks to a Savage play by OHEB’s Beatrix.
“It was so exciting [to be back] but in the first place, I never left,” Blacklist International team captain OhMyV33nus said after the match.
Earlier in the day, Omega Esports pulled off an early upset in the season when they scored a 2-0 sweep over defending champion RSG PH.
