ABS-CBN took home 16 awards including top honors for Kapamilya Channel as Digital Media Network of the Year and ABS-CBN News as Best TV/Digital News Platform at The Golden Laurel 2022: The Batangas Province Media Awards, organized by the Lyceum of the Philippines University-Batangas.
TV Patrol won Best TV/Digital News Platform with anchor Bernadette Sembrano named Female News Anchor of the Year.
Joining the winners’ circle were Jodi Sta. Maria (Best Drama Actress for The Broken Marriage Vow), Joshua Garcia (Best Drama Actor, Viral Scandal), Angel Locsin (Most Inspiring Social Media with a Social Cause category), and Kathryn Bernardo (Most Inspiring Social Media Personality, Lifestyle/Entertainment category).
Other awards the Kapamilya Network won included It’s Showtime (Best Variety Show and Best Variety Show Hosts), Magandang Buhay (Best Celebrity Talk Show), Maalaala Mo Kaya (Best Drama Anthology Program), and The Broken Marriage Vow (Best Drama Series).
Bernadette and her Lingkod Kapamilya sa TeleRadyo co-host Edric Calma were also hailed Best Public Service Program Hosts, with their program winning Best Public Service Program.
ABS-CBN’s Metro magazine was chosen by the Batangas academic community as Best Print/Digital Lifestyle Magazine.
Winners of The Golden Laurel 2022 were based on the votes of students, employees and partner schools in the Batangas province.
The awarding ceremony was held recently at the Freedom Hall of the SHL Building, Lyceum of the Philippines University-Batangas, Capitol Site, Batangas City.
