The Taguig City police have confiscated over P700,000 worth of illegal drugs during buy-bust operations held 25 to 26 August, Southern Police District acting chief P/Col. Kirby John Kraft said yesterday.
Arrested in the drug stings were Joshua Lontoc, 32; Ronnie Raposas, 36; Arnel Andrade, 28; John Mark Orellana; and Norodin Lillan, 39.
Six sachets of suspected shabu were seized from the suspects.
In a buy-bust operation in Barangay Ususan, Joel Frias, a construction worker, yielded 7.5 grams of suspected crystal meth.
All of those arrested were charged with violating Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165 or the Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
“I am impressed by the continued diligence and determination shown by our policemen so that we can fight the problem of illegal drugs,” Kirby said.
