Cordillera education sector remains resilient

BAGUIO CITY — The Department of Education -Cordillera has displayed resilience amid the challenges posed by the coronavirus disease pandemic and other dillemas.

According to DepEd-Cordillera regional director Estella Cariño, both teaching and non-teaching personnel, officials, and other stakeholders in the education sector remained steadfast in facing various challenges.

Cariño stressed that all have worked and helped in ensuring the continuous delivery of education to the children despite the effects of theCovid-19 pandemic and expressed admiration to the education people who did not give up and remained determined in performing their mandates after the recent magnitude 7.0 earthquake the hit the region.

She also expressed gratitude to Vice President and Education Secretary Sara Z. Duterte, who graced the celebration of the National Teachers’ Day in Abra, adding that it is a proof of victory over the challenges the province and the entire Cordillera recently hurdled.

A day before the program, DepEd and China Bank Savings signed a pledge of commitment in support to the 2022 National Teachers’ Month celebration and to confirm their partnership in the achievement of the programs related to education.
