It’s green and go for the International Boxing Federation super-flyweight title fight between defending champion Fernando Martinez of Argentina and Filipino Jerwin Ancajas in Carson, California, on Saturday night, 8 October (Sunday morning, 9 October in Manila).
During the official weighin, Ancajas and Martinez both came in at 114 3/4 lbs.
The officials assigned to work the scheduled 12-rounder is Eddie Hernandez Sr while the three judges are Zachary Young, Tiffany Clinton and Ellis Johnson.
This is the second time Ancajas and Martinez are fighting each other.
Last February, Martinez upset the Filipino southpaw on a unanimous decision, putting an end to Ancajas’ reign dating back to 2016.
