Bong Go aids indigents in Makilala, North Cotabato

Sen. Bong Go visited the province of North Cotabato and personally joined the celebration of the 68th Founding Anniversary of the town of Makilala and Sinab’badan Festival on Friday, 7 October.

In his remarks, Go commended the people of Makilala for celebrating their historic culture and rich tradition despite challenges brought about by the pandemic.

He likewise reassured that the government shall continue its unhampered service to the Filipino people and ensure that no one is left behind towards recovery.

After the ceremony, Go spearheaded a relief effort for 750 indigents of the town at the Makilala National High School Gymnasium. The senator and his team provided grocery packs, masks, vitamins, shirts and meals to each resident and gave away cellular phones and watches to select individuals.

As a staunch advocate of grassroots sports development, Go, who chairs the Senate Committee on Sports, provided shoes, bicycles, and balls for volleyball and basketball to select individuals.
