The Makati City police arrested 22 suspected drug users in nine separate operations last week, even as it rounded up 86 persons in 23 anti-illegal gambling operations from 3 to 8 October.
For the same period, 14 people were served arrest warrants and 944 were apprehended for violation of various city ordinances.
The city police also collared in Barangay East Rembo the Southern Police District’s sixth most wanted person facing charges of rape, acts of lasciviousness, sexual assault and illegal possession of firearms.
The busy week for the Makati City police earned it the top rank among police units under the SPD, eliciting kudos from Mayor Abby Binay.
The SPD on Monday recognized the Makati City police for posting a score of 92.78 percent under the Philippine National Police’s performance evaluation metrics.
