Quick-responding Quezon City policemen arrested a fellow cop assigned in Manila for the fatal shooting of a traffic enforcer along EDSA before dawn of Thursday.
The victim, Edgar Follero, a member of the Quezon City Department of Public Order and Safety, was aboard a motorcycle when allegedly shot by P/Lt. Felixberto Rapana Tiquil of the Manila Police District anti-carnapping unit.
Despite being wounded, Follero was able to continue driving his motorcycle until he was able to seek help from Quezon City cops stationed along EDSA corner Roosevelt Avenue.
Earlier, Follero aboard his motorcycle was pushing a friend’s motorcycle that broke down in front of Munoz Market when shot by the cop for no apparent reason.
Follero died at the Quezon City General Hospital, while Tiquil was arrested and his service firearms, a Glock 17, along with a fired shell, was recovered by the police.
