Authorities reported that an unidentified woman was killed after she was hit by a speeding vehicle while crossing the Mabini Bridge in Sampaloc, Manila Sunday dawn.
The Manila Police District said that the victim was only described as wearing white shirt, red short pants and was barefooted.
Initial investigations showed that the incident occurred at 4 a.m. Sunday and the MPD Homicide Section said that it received a call regarding an alleged shooting incident at the Mabini Bridge.
However, responding policemen discovered that it was not a shooting incident but a case of hit and run.
Police said that the victim’s body was strewn on the northbound lane of the bridge and that the body bore tire marks.
Investigators surmised that the possibility of a four vehicle would be the one that ran over the body of the victim.
The body was brought to the Body and Light funeral parlor for autopsy.
